Expectations

IMG_7875

Disappointment is something that affects us badly. We feel sadness or we beat ourselves for failing to meet our expectations. Or we have disappointment with others when we set expectations on them.

Often when we are disappointed by something, we aim to try even harder with that particular goal or say I need to do more or push more.

It is all to do with managing expectations of ourselves and what we expect of others, of what we are doing ourselves or collectively.

That doesn’t mean to have a negatively low expectation of everything that we do or others. It means expect to do less and do not put unrealistic expectations on things, be prepared to try, readjust and keep adjusting until it gets to where you want. Often having no expectations is very liberating.

Expect less, do less and end up achieving more by removing the draining effects of disappointment with ourselves and others.

Don’t expect everything now.
